RECIPIENTS
The course is designed for port and port facility personnel that shall have knowledge of and be familiar with relevant provisions of the port and port facility security plan.
PREREQUISITE
No specific entry requirements are envisaged.
OBJECTIVES AND DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE
The course aims to provide port facility personnel without designated security tasks with the knowledge required to perform their functions in connection with a port facility security plan (PFSP) and in compliance with current regulations, with particular attention to:
- Meaning and requirements of the different security levels;
- Knowledge of emergency procedures and contingency plans;
- Recognition and detection of weapons, dangerous substances and equipment;
- Recognition, on a non-discriminatory basis, of characteristics and behavioural patterns of persons who are likely to threaten security;
- Techniques used to circumvent security measures;
